Granados
Granados, Trujillo, Venezuela
Description
Granados is a parish in Trujillo state, part of the Bolívar municipality, whose capital is Sabana Grande. Distinctly rural in character, Granados preserves the calm and warmth typical of Andean towns, where life revolves around the countryside, family and the traditions passed down generation after generation. Because of its location among mountains and hamlets, Granados has established itself as a connection point between the neighboring rural communities and the more populated centers of the Trujillo region.
The Bolívar municipality, to which Granados belongs alongside the parishes of Sabana Grande and Cheregüé, recorded a population of 19,879 inhabitants according to the 2011 census, with a density close to 95 inhabitants per square kilometer (Wikipedia, «Municipio Bolívar (Trujillo)», accessed 2026). Its economy is based mainly on farming and livestock activity, with diversified crops, pastures and dairy and meat production that sustain the life of its communities.
