Description
Los Teques is a mountain city with an identity firmly rooted in its history and its people, capital of Miranda state and of the Guaicaipuro municipality. Founded as a settlement in 1777 and raised to state capital in 1927, it bears the name of the Teques indigenous people who inhabited these highlands under the leadership of the chief Guaicaipuro.
